The Stocking Was Hung by Tara Sivec
4.0
OMG, I don't know if I've ever indeed LOL'd before as many times as I did reading/listening to this book. Tara Sivec has quickly become a top favorite! I'm not sure if it's because she's from Ohio (where I was born and grew up) or because the setting is there on a lot of books, but damn, she can tell some great stories.
Noel, AKA Leon, is heading home for the holidays after a disastrous break-up and job loss. Toss in being homeless, and her life is pretty much in the dumps. While her flight is delayed at the airport and she's on the phone with her mom, she accidentally throws her beer on Sam, the veteran behind her.
She needs a date for Christmas, and now?
A 4.5 or higher but I will never stop reading her books.
So this is a really hilarious insta-love story that is low on angst, with lost of laughs and a bit of spice.
