Star Wars: The Force Awakens—Rey's Story by Brian Rood, Elizabeth Schaefer

3.0

Definitely written for the younger reader, but still a nice read for a fan of Star Wars movies. The book is pretty much just Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens from Rey's point of view. If you like her character, then you should enjoy the book. It's a nice companion to the movie, since we get a little bit of Rey's inner thoughts on what's going on around her. What I liked the most was the beginning, where we get more of a glimpse into what her life on Jakku was like, before BB-8 and Finn crash into her life. Brian Rood's illustrations are a nice bonus.
