Tokyo Revengers, Vol. 4 by Ken Wakui

5.0

Things heat up as Takemichi tries to save Ryuguji before he bleeds out.

This was a intense volume. From Takemichi and his final stand against gang members trying to kill Ryuguji. To a nice big brawl between two gangs. To Takemichi taking the first steps into being a man with a purpose. To going back to modern day era and being surprised on what is happening. To a shocking and fucked up ending...we have plenty in this jam packed volume to be excited for.

This reminds me of a anime I've just watched called Re:zero where you think the hero fixes things but in actuality it just gets worse. This is pretty much a story about a guy just trying to do right after doing pretty much nothing with his life. To watch the struggle is interesting and we get some real great character growth from Manjiro and Ryguji, who are becoming two of my favorite characters. Even some nice character work for Emma and Hinata.

The first volume was just good but these last two volumes have been fantastic. I assume with the show's success this will blow up even more. I love reading digital but if they do get printed I'm re-buying this series.
