Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt

3.0

This was a sweet, short little tale. It was missing a lot, and I definitely didn't fall in love. But I did like it.

I picked this book up to read to my 9 year old daughter because I remember loving it as a girl, but it really wasn't what my memory led me to believe.

It's a very short story, super quick but lacking in any real plot. It's very much about a girl breaking out of her childhood years and into her preteen years, looking for more out of life. I like the Tucks well enough, but I truly hope that with forever ahead of them, they were able to do more than hide in the woods. Miles was really the only Tuck with any kind of ambition.

My daughter says that this one was okay, but she was bored for a lot of it and didn't really like Winnie or the Tucks, so it was just okay.
