An interesting story for sure, but I found it very jarring that it seemed so out of date for a book published in 2010. What was with all the finger guns, lack of phones/technology (she only sent her family a postcard from Europe? She couldn't have emailed anyone?), and all the older references that I am skeptical a girl her age would know.
