Blood of Amber by Uf, Roger Zelazny
2.0

I was kind of disappointed in this book. All the interesting little bits of Merlin that were introduced in the first book were *still* not expounded upon, and the story arc was flat. All the "action" that happened in this book seemed almost unnecessary and did little to further the main story line, other then dropping bits of information here and there. It seems as if the author didn't want to involved the previous story's characters much (mainly Oberon's direct children) and that's fine, but the way they are people presented gives them a personality far different from how they were originally, which is jarring. Overall, I felt this was a lot of fluff story wise, and it wasn't even good fluff at that. It's too vague, like seeing the end of the magic trick, but no set up or back story. There is so much I want to know, and while that was good to start because it kept me engaged, non of it has been resolved over two books, so it's becoming a frustrating letdown. :/
