Tbh I need to watch the movie before I give a full review but I will say this, the first 75% of this book had me hooked!

I was invested, the parallels between reality and Panem were horrifying. It really added to the atmospheric dread of the story.

That being said, the last 25 percent felt like a battle. While Snow was kind of tolerable in the beginning, towards the end I was begging the book to end. His evilness felt cartoonish, which made the other characters love and care for him difficult to understand.

Finally, the character of Lucy Gray… it is here where I want to wait to watch the movie because there is something about her character that just didn’t work for me…. We will seee
