I was curious to see what Hank Green had come up with and well...I really liked it! The plot is so intriguing and it's definitely a page -turner. April May comes across a weird robotic sculpture which she dubs Carl in NYC and ends up filming a viral video about her discovery with her friend Andy. She basically ends up becoming almost like the spokesperson for the Carls (which now is something that has been discovered to be found all over the world). We follow April May and her crew as they try to uncover the mysteries that the Carls have bestowed on them in the form of the Dream as well as the sudden fame that April May find herself in. April May is not meant to be a likeable character and that was kind of refreshing. There were so many times where I hated her thoughts and actions, but she admits to them. Some of the dialogue about fame felt contrived and preachy to me but aside from that I loved all of the quirky characters and the cliffhanger...I am eagerly anticipating what happens next with April May and the Carls!
