For a YA novel, twilight is pretty well written compared to the bookTok books being published today. The writing is almost poetic and a lovely picture of Forks has been painted. I really felt as if I was in Bella’s head while reading.
Bella started getting on my nerves midway. I understand that being “a caretaker” for her mum has made her mature a lot faster than her peers, but I think she’s just pushed all that energy into being with Edward. She’s obsessed - right from the start! And the girl’s 18, she’s not had a single boyfriend - it’s super obvious WHy she’s this obsessed with him. Why was she talking about not being able to live without him etc!! It was frustrating
Edward was OLD, the age gap was SO obvious and the power dynamic could easily be seen. But oh well.
