Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents
by Isabel Wilkerson
4.5 rounded to 5 stars.
Wow this was such an enlightening read.
In Caste, Wilkerson makes the argument that the United States grapples with a Caste issue similar to the one in India. Unlike the Caste system in India, the one in the United States is based in history and race.
Wilkerson walks us through past as well as current historical events to outline her argument, sprinkling personal anecdotes along the way.
The book is written in a very accessible and easy to understand way. I did a mix of audio/physical.
Highly recommend.
