4.25 - I really liked it!
Considering how [b:Kingdom of the Wicked|52735921|Kingdom of the Wicked (Kingdom of the Wicked, #1)|Kerri Maniscalco|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1578938260l/52735921._SX50_SY75_.jpg|73119188] was just okay for me, this book was such a pleasant surprise! Honestly, if I didn't already have Kingdom of the Cursed book when I read Wicked, I probably wouldn't have picked this up. For me, it's like this book just made use of the same characters but is a different story altogether. More than the move from young adult to new adult, the story became more interesting to me, with more cohesive plot lines - set in Hell, meeting the different Princes of Hell, the progression of Wrath and Emilia's relationship... Sure, there were still questionable moments for me (like that whole build up to the Feast of the Wolf but then nothing happens that'll require what Emilia trained for) but it was nowhere near as bad as Wicked wherein I was truly baffled by the progression of the story.
For me, this is a vast improvement from the first book and I'm now looking forward to the next one!
