From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler
by E.L. Konigsburg
I first read this book at age 10 and thought it was one of the most complex, most thrilling, most creative mysteries I had ever read. For weeks I told all my friends that they HAD to read it because it was SO good.
I just reread it as an adult. It’s not as amazing as I remember, but nothing can take away that first magical reading experience.
