Annie in Paris by Carmen Reid
3.0
This is the first of this series that I have read, and doubt I will go back to catch up on the others. The author does helpfully include a guide to the characters at the front of the novel, so it wasn't as confusing as it might have been. I chose it because I have difficulty not at least sampling anything with Paris as the setting.
There really isn't anything demonstrably wrong with the book over all, but there were quite a few small things that bugged me, adding up to a lack of satisfaction on my part. I found the MC's use of "babes" and "darling" annoying, especially when she is addressing people she barely knows. There are a lot of fortunate coincidences used to move the plot on and this annoyed me after a while. Fans of the series will most likely enjoy this entry, though.
