Beyond the Story: 10-Year Record of BTS
by Myeongseok Kang, BTS
How could I give this anything less than 5 stars???
Every once and awhile I'm reminded of how much of a light BTS has been, and this book is no exception. It was fascinating reading about their history from pre-debut to now. I was particularly taken with the sections on Love Yourself: Tear, MOTS:7, and the Permission to Dance concerts. Every chapter left me marveling at all they've accomplished and the hurdles they overcame to get there. BTS remain role models in every sense of the phrase and their outlook on the world is inspiring, yet humbling at the same time.
Admittedly, this book is really written for those who are already familiar with BTS and anyone who isn't may find this difficult to read. I would have liked to read more about the BTS cinematic universe and how they incorporated various external influences into their themes (Demain, Jung, etc.), but in all this was a great timeline any ARMY could ask for.
