The Plan by Karla Sorensen

4.0

I honestly had no idea that this was the second book in a series. I found it on KU and was intrigued by the description. And now, after reading this, I’m going to have to go find the other books in the series. THAT is how much I liked this one.

This one combines fake dating, bodyguard, sports romance AND grumpy/sunshine, without making it seem too cluttered. Erik, despite his grumpiness, is easy to like, as is Lydia. Despite growing up wealthy and becoming an influencer, she doesn’t seem snobby or airheaded. And the chemistry between the two of them? Starts from their very first meeting and only goes up from there.

I felt like this book had the perfect amount of spice & made you work for it. You had to get through a solid amount of the book before anybody started getting freaky, but it paid off well. I was so ready for even just a hint of spice and then boom. All the spice I could’ve wanted plus some more.

Following with that sweet as pie bonus epilogue made this a book I could see myself rereading in the future. 4.5 stars.
