Honestly, I love the world Cassandra Clare has created. Since I got into HS, I have grown up on her books, but now I think I am past the intended audience.

For my fellow readers who are in the same spot I am and are wondering if this series is even worth it, I can say now that it is. I say that because I finished this trilogy.

Yes, it is mostly a cast of people 18 and under. Yes, there is overly dramatic and overly complicated love, I think at this point that's Clare's specialty. Yes, it's a little exhausting to meet this cast when all we really want is to read about the original cast from TMI or even TID but they do make a good deal of appearances in this series. That alone was why I picked up this book, but it was Julian Blackthorne who kept me reading. He has a solid head on his shoulders considering he is about 16/17(?).
Honestly, now that I finished this series, it's worth just pushing through this book to get to the other two.
