Joe Ide is writing new Phillip Marlowe novels, so before I read that I thought I’d read IQ. Just to see what his personal work is like.
I actually listened to IQ. I tend to like darker crime novels than this. But it’s hard to deny how fun this was. I liked it. It kept me interested, even if ultimately I found the resolution a little dissatisfying. I want to listen to the others, so I must have liked it enough for that.
