- a good book to get you out of a reading slump. it's very easy to read. nice short chapters.
- i didn't really care about any of the characters. evie was very vanilla and wasn't very fleshed out.
- the weird magic was unnecessary. this was presented to me as a contemporary romance, so why is there magiccc??? it was never explained and i found it weird how evie never thought to tell anyone. i appreciate the idea behind the magic, but it was a little off-putting.
- i liked X. he was a cool character and i understood why evie fell for him. i also liked fifi, though she was a little creepy. favourite couples were maggie and archibald (super, super cute)
and sophie and cassidy (also cute. wish we saw more of them. they had so much potentiallll).

- the plot was pretty basic: girl doesn't believe in love. girl gets weird magic. girl meets guy. guy gets her to believe in love again. girl tries to push him away but fails. third act conflict. they get together again. the end.
- i did like that the ending was a little bitter sweet. it switches things up a bit.

girl who doesn't believe i love • hot hipster love interest • sparks and drama ensue
