i found this to be a thought-provoking and insightful examination of mental health, the ways in which is gets mishandled and misunderstood, how we might become strangers to ourselves, wanderers in our own minds. Aviv gives great care and attention to the various ways mental health intersects with institutions, the ways these institutions can exacerbate mental health challenges. she provides some really interesting reflections about medications, and about how we talk about mental illness
this is a great read to add to your list
