This book was dense to get started, but the payoff to me was worth it! I loved the brutality of the world and the underdog theme of our main character. I do feel like the main character got away with a few too many things unpunished & a few plot elements didn’t fully make sense to me. And there were significantly less dragons than I expected…. But I had a great time and definitely plan to continue the series and am very much hooked into the world!
