Slowly We Rot by Bryan Smith

4.0

Bryan Smith sure knows how to tell a story. I don't read too many zombie books. I liked that this book focused on the bigger picture after the end of civilization. Such as dreams, loneliness, substance abuse, mental status etc...
There's a couple scenes of gore that kept the story interesting.
There was a lot of backstory, and I thought it was boring, but respected how it weaved into the story.
The ending got weird. So I really appreciated the author note at the end.
This is my first Bryan Smith, but it won't be my last.
