4/5 [3/8/22] i’ve read the folk of the air series a while back and this novella just reminded of how good the series was and how much i enjoyed reading it.
how the king of elfhame learned to hate stories was definitely short and sweet and felt like one of those children’s storybooks i’ve had when i was little; the illustrations were absolutely gorgeous. the fact that it was told in cardan’s pov just made it better, as we get to see his perspective through flashbacks from scenes particularly from the cruel prince to the events that followed after queen of nothing. this was a wonderous and magical addition to the series and i would definitely recommend especially to those attached to jude and cardan and the world that is elfhame.
