Absolutely beautiful story. I'm usually not into slice of life books and I'm not going to lie it took me a while to get into this story. But the way LaCour writes, she can easily wrap me up into her stories. I first started this story not really liking Emi and that's probably why it took me so long to finally get into this story. She seemed too pretentious and I found myself rolling my eyes at her often. However as I kept going I fell in love with her and I fell in love with her story and her journey. That's just how amazing LaCour's writing is. She gets you so wrapped up in the lives of these characters and you easily feel for them and you're fully immersed into knowing everything about them. Easily one of my favorite stories.
