A serviceable, solid and soapy thriller that has so many fun twists. Let me tell you- I wasn’t ready for this book. The first half I was very stressed, I didn’t like any of the characters and then boom- love my little Millie Queen. Very much I support women’s rights and women’s wrongs kind of vibe here.
Cons? The pacing felt off, it was a slow burn and then BOOM twist twist twist. It was reminiscent of Gone Girl in how the entire tone changed. Also some of it was predictable but honestly not terrible.
