I was a little wary in the first half but I was a fan by the end of the book. I enjoyed Declan’s and Iris’s individual and interpersonal growth. I appreciate that they made  efforts to overcome their biggest fears since both of them have avoidant personalities (trauma response to abusive parents). I’m here for men holding other men accountable (Mr. Yakura and Cal are real ones). Even when Declan is a d!$k, I still wanted him to win. I loved he that stepped up to be the partner and friend Iris deserves. I’m looking forward to book 3.
