We Are All Made of Stars by Rowan Coleman
5.0
One of my favourite writers at the moment, I didn't think she'd be able to surpass The Memory Book but I've been proved wrong.
This is a beautifully poignant book about loss, redemption, hope and love. Brilliantly written with a thread of humour to counter the heart break that came with every goodbye.
Three key interlinked story arcs, one of which is about a nurse working in a respite hospice - the final letters that she writes for patients are interspersed between chapters and are what makes this book so special. I found myself crying at the emotions conjured in such brief missives, and on occasion laughing as not every letter from the heart is a love letter.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.
