(Also translated in English as “Family Lexicon”, just so you know) Beautifully written, touching, wholesome. You get sucked in from page one and it becomes impossible to put it down; it’s the sort of book that demands to be read in one sitting. It is actually an autobiography but it feels like a “proper” work of fiction in many ways, and it’s meant to be felt like that. It’s a story that talks about history through the lives of small human beings, it’s about family, friendship, love and the remnants of war. Truly an amazing book, nothing short of a masterpiece. A must-read.
