A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson

Parts one and three were probably the best parts of the book for me. Part two is when Pippa started annoying me and doing what teenagers do: lying and doing stupid things that they know they shouldn't, but they do them anyway.

Anyway, I found the mystery of this book actually pretty fun. Unlike most people who maybe are able to pick up on things and put clues together, I'm not like that. I think it's mostly because I just want to read the story and see how everything plays out; I'm not actively trying to see if I can solve the case before the protagonist. That's genuinely not why I like books like these. They're just fun, for the most part.

I do love that, while there is a romance that starts budding in this, there's never really any attention brought to it. It's essentially just two people who were partnering up to try to prove one boy's innocence, and they happened to grow closer. I just really love that their romance didn't overshadow the overall plot of the story. I'm looking forward to starting the second book soon. Hopefully I won't get as annoyed read that one as I did this one.
