The second book in this series did not disappoint. Once again the writing itself and the world building was incredible. What I really appreciated in this sequel though, was the development of some of the lesser characters from the first book. Not to mention that more problems and challenges were introduced to the main character, and the old ones were not just simply refreshed to make for a boring read. Lastly I loved how the romance part of the novel ramped up a little bit, while continuing to main quite subtle. It wasn't the main plot, but a subplot and that drove me crazy wanting to know what would happen next between Elena and Lucas. I loved this book and read it in a day, and now I'm going to immediately read the third book.
