The only thing I enjoyed reading in this book was the smut.  It was not too cringeworthy and just, overall, a decent spice. I did not enjoy everything else, however. August, the MMC was okay; there was not much character development. He stayed consistent throughout the book, which was him being protective and respectful of Tess. Most of the character development was surrounded by Tess, if you could even call it that. She went from bartender to Luna immediately after finding out August was an alpha werewolf. We barely had a backstory on her besides the fact that her mother was a drug addict. The plot was also lackluster; I just felt like I needed more. I wanted more regarding the shifter universe besides the fact that they cohabitate with the humans.
