What an amazing picture book this is! Not only is the whole pull-back perspective concept well conceived, but the details in the pictures, while simply executed are equally absorbing if you stop to enjoy. Note the sag of the boy's wet swimming trunks, the man checking the rear view mirror as he sits in the traffic jam etc. And it's hard to stop and enjoy the first time, the urge to see how he handles the next picture is very stong.

The illustrations are slightly reminiscent of Herge.
