The Book That Wouldn't Burn by Mark Lawrence

4.0

There was a lot to love in this book. I LOVE the library and how it all works, and I enjoyed slowly exploring the library with Livera... but I really didn't enjoy the pacing. I often felt like the characters' motivations weren't that clear and there was a lot of faffing around for no reason. Then there was a lot of description for things that also didn't seem important, while important events were left unclear. Sometimes I enjoy the mystery around things that are left unclear, but this wasn't that.

Anyways, I did still enjoy this, and I am looking forward to the next book. I just hope it will be a better around the pacing and the descriptions because there is a lot of potential :)
