Twelve Days of Squidmas by K.L. Hiers

4.5

This book was actually a lot of fun! The writing was filled with humor and pop-culture references, and I laughed more times than I can count while reading! I was so charmed by Xorvash. He had such a witty and sarcastic personality and I loved every interaction he had with Jack. I really enjoyed Jack's character as well. He seemed to have gotten the short end of the stick most of his life, and it was awful to watch him get stomped on by his family, but it was so satisfying to see him stand up for himself in the end. I really would have loved more of the story on how Xorvash met his grandmother, because it was hilarious that they were such great friends somehow. This book was a really fun read!
