This trope is not my favorite, but I love this author and I kept putting this book off because of the trope. But with the audiobook challenge, I thought this will make me read it.
I am so glad I did, both main characters are struggling and I think I liked that, not because they were but because they could understand each other in a way no one else could.
I did find the book to be a little too put together like everything just fell into place. There were struggles, yes but it all got wrapped up in the perfect bow and it just was a little too much. I guess I was hoping for the big boom or something and it felt like it never came.
The side characters were awesome, but then we got nothing of them in the end and I was left with questions. I guess it wasn’t all wrapped up because we are missing some of the end closure on them.
I liked the female narrator but I wasn’t a huge fan of the male, I don’t know why. I liked his tone and his dialect but I just didn’t connect and that is ok because not every narrator is for everyone.
