Catastrophic Happiness: Finding Joy in Childhood's Messy Years by Catherine Newman

4.0

It's difficult to love a book that seems dead set on reminding you of all your personal inadequacies as a parent, but thankfully the writing moves on from blithely, insufferably twee to genuine and heartwrenching in its banality and naked worrying vulnerability. Enjoyed it more the closer to the end I got, which is about how I feel about parenting too, come to it.
