A Half-Built Garden by Ruthanna Emrys

Did not finish book. Stopped at 41%.
There is some interesting imagining in this book about how a grassroots community might develop to govern an ecological restoration project, supported by the 'dandelion network' of, basically, weighted reddit threads), as well as some more complicated consideration of gender and family reproduction in contrasting societies (e.g. 'the corporations' and the alien cluster). While I enjoyed these thought experiments, I wasn't particularly compelled by the conflict between grassroots and corporation, and as the plot moved into the territory of the corps, I was less interested in the explanations and I felt like the characters stalled out a bit.
