This was a nice little break from my Romance kick. I enjoyed this one; however, it didn't grip me until the last 100 pages, and then it started to feel like it was moving. I felt the house was a character in itself. The way the author set the scene in this book was so fun. It was nice to read a book that didn't scream the setting at you but let you come to it on your own. I think I predicted 80% of the twists. One of them caught me a little off guard, but I feel like the author did a good job weaving the clues into the story, and you pick them up as you go. I enjoyed how it all came together in the end, and it felt like the right people got happy endings. I am confused about one person's motive, but I also have a feeling it was going to end that way. Kit and Lenora were two sides of the same coin! It would have been a 5-star read if I were more surprised, which, to be fair, is hard to do with me. 4.25/5 stars.
