This book is such a dark and sad story about the life of a man named Yozo, who feels he lacks what it means to be considered human, so he pretends and acts how he sees others act.
Yozo is by no means a good person, but by the end of the book it really makes you feel bad for him.
When I first read this book about 2 years ago, I don't think I really understood the point of this book, so I didn't enjoy it at all.
But now that I've read it again, I can see the point the author was trying to make, well... at least I think so.
I think it's a very important book, it covers a lot of topics like depression, suicide, and what it means to be human. and what expectations can do to a person, and just how damaging silence can be.
