Cream and Punishment by Susannah Nix

I didn’t like this even close to as much as the first. The audiobook narrators are the same and they’re both great! I found this audiobook way harder because I didn’t like some aspects of the story. I liked Tanner and Lucy individually and together, they’re both funny, especially Lucy and they have great chemistry. They’re very sweet together. My issue comes with the side plot, specifically with Lucy’s mom. She reminded me so much of Blanche Devereaux, but the worst possible version. I couldn’t stand this storyline, it was so annoying and hard to listen to. I felt the same about Matt’s storyline, and I didn’t care too much for Tanner’s family storyline either, although I liked catching up with Andie and Wyatt. I liked the ending of this story and how everything resolved, but that part of the story really pulled the whole thing down for me. Happy for no third act breakup, but when the storyline with Tanners’ job felt rushed. Anyways, I’m excited for the next!
