All but the last few chapters were 5 stars for me but the final chapters where the animals use gun violence and Roz loses her limbs and is considered "crippled" and "ruined" really turned me off the story. I think authors (particularly of children's books) have a responsibility to not frame becoming significantly physically disabled in the way this book did. The gun use felt really unnecessary and like lazy problem solving.
