The Other Boleyn Girl
by Philippa Gregory
Before reading this book I had very little insight on the 16th Century, Henry VIII's reign and court life and was only slightly aware of him having 6 different wives. This book opened up a completely new world of understanding and interest in this time period.
What I especially like about this book is that it is written from Mary Boleyn's perspective. I like how The Other Boleyn Girl's author, Philippa Gregory, invites you into the lesser known character, Mary Boleyn's, life and shows you both her and her sister, Anne's, story.
I have to say, I was never a huge European history buff, but after reading this book and many other's by Philippa Gregory, I just can't seem to get enough!
