what a strange book! almost disarming in its bluntness and simplicity, but then not really. a really interesting look at the way we perceive things, at the way we imagine something to be true. i have to sit with it for a while. who is really the true deceiver? the narration is as blunt and precise as katri herself, and the sudden shifts sometimes to her own pov were somewhat unsettling and yet so fitting for this story. really atmospheric & i truly wish i’d read this in the winter.
