3.5 stars. WOW, this book was sick, twisted, and a whirlwind. This was my first dark thriller, and boy, was it dark. It took a bit for me to understand what I was reading, it was a lot to balance, but I got used to the switch of perspectives as I read on. The plot was good, it wasn’t at twisty as I expected, but it was an alright thriller. I did find myself gasping in shock later on in the book, like at 65%. I found myself rooting for Claire, she was holding out on her abilities. And woah, poor Lydia, the trauma she has endured must have been traumatic. I loved Paul’s ending, he got what he deserved, and so did everyone else who was involved. I recommend this book to anybody wanting to read something dark and gut wrenching.
