The Sandman Vol. 2: The Doll's House by Neil Gaiman

I cannot tell you how much I love Neil Gaiman. I was first introduced to his work when my friend Alice tried to start a book club at my school and his book, [b:American Gods|4407|American Gods (American Gods, #1)|Neil Gaiman|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1258417001s/4407.jpg|1970226], was one of the first that we decided to read. I devoured it and it exposed me to the wonder that is Neil Gaiman.
This is the second installment of The Sandman and it's the third "graphic novel" that I've read (I put graphic novel in quotation marks because I don't know if manga is considered a graphic novel?). It gave me so much to take in- the pictures and the words- and usually when the syntax is different from regular prose, I struggle with it due to the way that I read. However I didn't struggle with this at all. It was, however, a little bit less gory than [b:The Sandman, Vol. 1: Preludes and Nocturnes|23754|The Sandman, Vol. 1 Preludes and Nocturnes (The Sandman #1)|Neil Gaiman|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1358923255s/23754.jpg|1228437]. This isn't a positive or a negative, just an observation. Whenever I read books that have amazing fantasy worlds, I get so giddy that it's hard for me to contain my excitement. This is definitely one of those giddy moments and combined with the amazingness of it taking place in the DC Comic Universe makes it even better. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this series, and I'm so glad that it has exposed me to the world of graphic novels.
