yes i predicted the DT killer, all because of the purple brush in andie’s room, but honestly i don’t care if i predicted that, this entire book was so good and the way holly jackson manages to intricately connect so many small details and people in each book, i mean the planning this must’ve taken alone dude
i’ve seen people say that “i don’t sympathize with pip and ravi’s stupid for pitying her when she bashed a man’s head in even if he was bad” how shortsighted are you? not only did jason murder and stalk multiple other women, he was going to kill pip herself. why is it terrible and unnecessary for her to get the jump on someone who would’ve done worse to her in a second? and it’s not a what-if he was literally coming to the place to finish her off, he took a trophy from her. that sounds a lot like victim blaming to me, why shouldn’t she protect her fucking self?
and far fetched framing or not, can you honestly look at the cops she’s dealt with, who didn’t solve two cases she a teenage girl solved, and then they still didn’t believe her after that, and tell me that she fully should’ve trusted that they would believe her and deal justice? Jason had gotten away with murders for decades, and you want her to think “rationally” and believe that the cop who is is friend and surrogate son are going to believe her over him?
