Was a bit disappointed, as the book was marketed as more steampunk, whereas it was more just a Victorian(?) Light Fantasy with a few clock-makers and a slow boil mystery+relationships throughout. It was sweet, interesting, and well written, though I wouldn't have minded more of a focus on either its romantic or mystery elements, if just to make it a tighter work.
