An Assassin's Deception by Harper Wylde, A.K. Koonce

5.0

An Assassin’s Deception is the second book in the Huntress series and even better than the first!

Alexa and the guys are in hiding after killing the leader of the assassins, and trying to get by doing odd jobs that utilize their unique skill sets. A girl and four guys living together in a one bedroom apartment isn’t ideal, and Alexa gets pretty up close and personal with them all!

This story was very very steamy which I loved! From the first scene throughout the entire book Alexa gets a lot closer to the guys and slowly begins breaking down some walls they all have up.

We get some new secondary characters in this book which I also really enjoyed. These authors do not skimp in their books giving us plenty of characters to enjoy besides the mains! I loved the addition of some family members in this story because it gives a deeper look at Alexa and the guys as well. With these new characters comes more history and background that really helped fill in some blanks in Alexa’s past.

An Assassin’s Deception is a great read that had me laughing out loud one minute and falling off the edge of my seat the next! I can’t wait to read the final book in this series by these very talented authors!
