All Adults Here
by Emma Straub
Parenting is hard. We all screw it up. So did our parents. But the kids are (mostly) okay. Our 60+ female protagonist has depth, complexity, a brain, sex, regrets that don't overwhelm. Teenage subplot protagonist has wisdom, questions, empathy. Additional well-rounded characters whose poor decisions affect but don't derail their lives. Recommend, especially if you're worried about how you've screwed up your kids, or annoyed about your parents' mistakes with you.
