Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky

5.0

I loved the idea that Rodion thought it would be easy to control the health of his mind and feelings after the crime, and how he would be able to outsmart everyone and escape. How wrong he was with this thinking, and we see him gradually losing himself and exposing himself more and more.

At first I thought that Porfiry Petrovich would be the villain, but I was shocked that he was the most rational and understanding person, and I loved him more when he kept his promise for Rodion.

"escaping is not a solution"
