this book repeatedly kept holding up mirrors and saying “this you?” one of the best descriptors of depression i’ve ever seen as well as being fat and jewish (both separately and together). i really found myself rooting for ari and russ as a couple and for ari herself. i really loved that it wasn’t a “love will fix everything” but a “we can work through anything” romance. made me cry both happy and sad tears. would highly recommend!!
